Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  • The submission must be original and unpublished, and not be in the process of evaluation to be published in another journal. Otherwise, it is necessary to notify the editor in "Comments to the editor" explaining the motives.

  • The submission file is in Microsoft Word, RTF, or WordPerfect document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in About the Journal.
  • If submitting to a peer-reviewed section of the journal, the instructions in Ensuring a Blind Review have been followed.

Author Guidelines

PUBLICATION RULES

The Revista da Faculdade de Direito da UERJ (RFD/UERJ) adopts the rules of documentation from the Brazilian Association of Technical Norms (ABNT) and the tabular presentation rules from the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE). Articles must be digitalized in the Word (from 1998 to 2003) for Windows 6.0 text editor.

The structure of the article must contain the following elements, according to NBR ABNT 6022/2003:

Title (in Portuguese and in English);

Abstract;

Key-words;

Introduction;

Development;

Conclusion;

Appreciation (whenever needed); and

References.

 

Other NBRs to use:

Bibliographic Citations: NBR 10520/2002, adopting the author-date system

Bibliographic References: NBR 6023/2002

Progressive numeration of the sections: NBR 6024/2003

 

General Information:

We ask not to use archives.docx – and adopt the following format:

Times New Roman Font;

Size 12;

Spacing 1,5 and without space between paragraphs, respecting the exceptions in the ABNT norm about academic studies;

A4 format page;

Superior-left margin: 3 cm; Inferior-right margin: 2 cm;

Maximum of 20 Pages.

 

Submission, processing and publication of papers is free of charge and does not incur any costs to the authors.

oPartial reproduction from other publications
