Resumo: Análise da atuação dos deputados brasileiros nas Cortes constituintes de Lisboa. Destaca-se o caráter fragmentário da representação das diferentes províncias brasileiras, procurando encontrar suas razões no mosaico político, ideológico e social brasileiro. Estuda-se os principais embates com os deputados portugueses e as diversas posições surgidas, revelando a dificuldade para chegar a um texto constitucional que conciliasse os interesses brasileiros e portugueses.

Abstract: Analysis of the performance of Brazilian deputies in the constituent Cortes of Lisbon. The fragmentary character of the representation of the different Brazilian provinces is highlighted, seeking to find their reasons in the political, ideological and social mosaic. The main clashes with the Portuguese deputies and the different positions that emerged are studied, revealing the difficulty in reaching a constitutional text that reconciled Brazilian and Portuguese interests and claims.
