Abstract

This article presents the partial results of the research “The reality of children and adolescents in the Amazon region: Perceptions and social indicators about living conditions and situations of violence”. This article aims to highlight, through the analysis of recent social indicators, the living conditions and situations of violence in which Amazonian children and adolescents have been living in the current situation. Through the data analyzed, it appears that the Amazon is the Brazilian region with the highest rates of rights violations aimed at children and adolescence. Given this scenario, the urgency in formulating and implementing social policies that consider the heterogeneity of the territory, its history, identity and particularities is highlighted.
