20 Years of the Colombian Critical Social Work Collective (2004-2024): Commitment and Dignity

Abstract

This article contributes to the commemoration of the 20th anniversary of the Colombian Collective for Critical Social Work (TSCC, by its acronym in Spanish). To this end, it draws on a literature review of texts produced by the Collective, as well as publications resulting from research and reflections that focus on or reference this process. Additionally, a voluntary questionnaire was administered to historical members of the TSCC Collective, who were invited to a session for discussion and feedback on the text. Without aiming to present a single perspective on the history of the collective process and acknowledging the inherent limitations of a document of this nature, the text explores the historical development of the TSCC Collective, its academic production, and its internationalist engagement. It also revisits contemporary challenges for the critical renewal of Social Work in Colombia. Finally, some avenues for further reflection and strengthening of this process are proposed.
