Abstract

This article addresses the intrinsic relationship between technology and capital, both acting
in the domain of time, as something vital for the maintenance of this form of production
organization. More specifically, it analyzes its consequences for the working class, with the
great threat of expansion of relative overpopulation. The literature review and documentary
research, in newspapers published electronically and official publications from institutions
that discuss the subject, highlighted the great progress in the technological sector, mainly
with the development of Artificial Intelligence. In fact, technology has been capable of
shaping the world in an extraordinary way, constantly altering the dynamics of life in
society in different areas. However, its advancement brings a series of consequences for the
working class, especially with the enormous unemployment, which puts the warning of
institutions and scientists about the danger of this phenomenon for humanity.
