Abstract

This article aims to discuss the socio-environmental responsibility of the Jirau and Santo Antônio plants in the face of social reality and the impacts resulting from the installation of these projects. The objective was to investigate the socio-environmental responsibility of these projects with local communities, especially in the district of Nova Mutum-Paraná. Exploratory research was adopted, applying documentary, bibliographic and legislative research methods, through analysis and a qualitative approach. The results were that, even after years of construction of the projects, the impacts experienced by local communities do not correspond and meet the real needs of this social group, which leads to future reflections so that, in the face of new infrastructure works of this nature, participation social impact becomes more widespread.

Fábio Bezerra dos Santos, Universidade Federal da Paraíba

Doutor em Direito do Consumidor pela Universidade Metropolitana de Santos (2016 - Capes 4), com ênfase em Teoria Constitucional dos Direitos Difusos, Filosofia Política, Direito Ambiental e Direito Processual Coletivo (Ação Popular, Ação Civil Pública e Mandado de Segurança Coletivo). Mestre em Direito Constitucional pela Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte (2008 - Capes 4), tendo defendido dissertação na temática Tutela Jurisdicional de Direitos e Interesses Transindividuais (Ação Civil Pública e Direito à Saúde). Especialista em Direito Constitucional pela Universidade de João Pessoa (2005-2006), com trabalho de conclusão de curso na temática Direito Social Fundamental à Saúde. Graduado em Direito pela Universidade Federal de Campina Grande (2000-2005). Chefe do DDPPJ/CCJ/UFPB - Campus I (Departamento de Direito Processual e Prática Jurídica/CCJ/UFPB - Curso de Direito de João Pessoa, 2012-2016), e atualmente, Subchefe da mesma unidade gestora (2016-), onde leciona as disciplinas Direito Processual Civil I e Prática Jurídica. Coordenador do NAJAC/PB (Núcleo de Assistência Jurídica Gratuita às Associações Civis do Estado da Paraíba). Coordenador do Centro de Assistência Transdisciplinar de Combate à Alienação Parental - CATRACA. Ex-Membro da Comissão de Defesa da República e Democracia, Ex-Vice-Presidente e ex-Secretário Geral da Comissão de Estágio e Exame de Ordem da OAB/PB. Membro de duas Comissões de Concurso para Promotor de Justiça do Estado da Paraíba (XIII e XIV concursos). Advogado com experiência na área cível e trabalhista. Parecerista nas áreas de Direito Constitucional Econômico, Direitos Humanos e Tutela Jurisdicional de Direitos Difusos, Coletivos e Individuais Homogêneos.
