The current situation of human rights
among wreckage, disincentives and setbacks. The border and the limit of the Democratic Rule of Law

This article discusses the current human rights situation in Brazil, based on the analysis of data extracted from Human Rights Reports, emphasizing the period of the last four years (2019-2022). First, it seeks to analyze for the loss of objectives in the field of human rights public policies, pointing out its social consequences, especially regarding issues such as: (i) the right to health; (ii) the right to food security; (iii) the right of indigenous peoples; (iv) the right to democracy; (v) the human rights education. Secondly, based on the philosophical conception of social recognition, the article seeks to verify how the denial of human rights public policies deepens the historical scars of the country, affects democratic ways of life and disseminates a culture of disrespect.
