Abstract
Food Sovereignty is a multidimensional concept and a people's right that is born in opposition to the capitalist productive model, based on agribusiness. Taking historical materialism as a method and a dialectical approach, the main objective of this article is to point out some of the economic, (geo) political and legal limits that oppose the guarantee of such right in a country of peripheral capitalism, as is the case of Brazil.
