Resumen
En el presente trabajo haremos una breve introducción a la definición de la prisión preventiva (en adelante, PP), junto a una serie de trabajos en los que se la estudia dentro de contextos tres relacionados entre sí: América Latina, Argentina y la Provincia de Buenos Aires (en adelante, PBA). Posteriormente, mencionaremos a dos actores que intervienen en la estructuración del problema de la PP por afuera del Poder Judicial (en adelante, PJ): los medios de comunicación y las autoridades políticas.

Abstract
This essay makes a brief introduction to the definition of preventive detention (PP), in combination with several works in which it is studied within three inter-related contexts: Latin America, Argentina and the Province of Buenos Aires (PBA). After, we mention two actors involved in structuring the problem of PP besides the Judiciary (PJ): the media and the political authorities.
