Abstract
Women got access to the Austrian law faculties not earlier then 1920. The Zeitschrift für öffentliches Recht’s (ZÖR’s) centenary offers the opportunity to remind us of three female authors who published between the wars some remarkable essays therein: Elisabeth de Waal (neé Ephrussi), Margit Kraft-Fuchs and Gisela Rohatyn. The three of them were influenced by Hans Kelsen and active members of his seminars. They contributed to the Pure Theory of Law in a substantial, sometimes critical manner.
