Os argumentos relativos a direitos nas ocupações de escolas no estado de São Paulo (2015): experiências de desrespeito, reconhecimento e política pré-figurativa / The rights-related claims in public school occupations in the state of São Paulo (2015): experiences of disrespect, recognition and prefigurative politics

Resumo 

Este trabalho apresenta uma análise e interpretação teórica das reivindicações relacionadas a direitos relatadas pelos estudantes nas ocupações de escolas públicas no estado de São Paulo em 2015. Primeiro, reconstruo o caso por meio de um recorte de entrevistas realizadas com os estudantes em que mencionam as suas experiências de desrespeito diante da proposta governamental de “reorganização escolar”. Em seguida, mobilizo elementos das concepções de teoria crítica de Axel Honneth e Robin Celikates que podem ser produtivos para interpretar experiências e práticas sociais concretas em contextos de lutas sociais. Por último, considerando as observações sobre a “esfera do direito” no livro Luta por reconhecimento, proponho uma interpretação teórica dos argumentos e reivindicações relacionadas aos direitos como consistindo em um recurso prático e medium compartilhado que permitiu que os protestos reverberassem por todo o estado e em outros setores sociais distantes dos estudantes.

Abstract 

This paper presents an analysis and theoretical interpretation of claims related to rights reported by students in the public-school occupations in the state of São Paulo in 2015. First, I perform a reconstruction of the case drawing on a selection of interviews with students, in which they mention their experiences of disrespect in face of the government’s proposal of “school reorganization”. After that, I mobilize elements of Axel Honneth and Robin Celikates' conceptions of critical theory that can be productive for the interpretation of concrete social experiences and practices in contexts of social struggles. Finally, considering the observations on the “sphere of rights” in the book Struggle for Recognition, I propose a theoretical interpretation of the arguments and claims related to rights as consisting a practical resource and shared medium that allowed the protests to reverberate throughout the state and in other social sectors distant from students.
