CONTRIBUIÇÕES DA PEDAGOGIA HISTÓRICO-CRÍTICA PARA UMA EDUCAÇÃO PROFISSIONAL E TECNOLÓGICA EMANCIPADORA

The present work aims to reflect the contributions of Historical-Critical Pedagogy to an emancipatory Professional and Technological Education. The text is divided into four moments. Firstly, we seek to reflect the epistemological and philosophical foundations of Historical-Critical Pedagogy, based on the legacy of historical materialism and the centrality of the category of work in understanding man and society. In the second moment, we seek to reflect the paths of encounters and disagreements in professional and technological education in Brazil, especially with regard to the similarities and differences between basic education and technical education. In the third moment, we seek to analyze the importance of Historical-Critical Pedagogy in overcoming traditional and technical pedagogical dichotomies, showing its limits, at the same time that we propose a counter-hegemonic path in the light of a critical perspective. Finally, we intend to at least outline possible answers to the question about the contributions of Historical-Critical Pedagogy to education, considering the essential objective of education, which is humanization.
