The Journal of City Law, ranked by MEC / CAPES as Qualis A1, law, in this volume 08, number 01, the first edition of the year 2016, now quarterly, is pleased to publish the article " On The Promotion Of The Right To Housing: A Study Based Upon Urban Policies " by the Journal Editorial Advisor Teacher Joshua Mastrodi Neto, of the Pontifical Catholic University of Campinas - PUC-Campinas and Suzana Maria Loureiro Silveira Zaccara, scholarship from the Foundation of São Paulo (FAPESP) at the Pontifical Catholic University of Campinas - PUC-Campinas. The article " On The Promotion Of The Right To Housing: A Study Based Upon Urban Policies " seeks to affirm, from the housing problems in the city of Campinas, the possibility of promoting the right to housing through the Minha Casa Minha Vida, in empty urban spaces using the legal-urban instrument called Special Zones of Social Interest. Are identified the legal provisions which requires the Housing Production Social Interest in Campinas, contained in its Municipal Plan and the extent to which the available urban policy instruments are used by the public administrator to plan and buildthe city from the right to housing and turn it to the public interest.
