Sobrecarga e estresse no trabalho durante a pandemia de covid-19: influência no desenvolvimento de Burnout em profissionais contábeis

Resumo

Os antecedentes da Síndrome de Burnout são mais investigados nas áreas da saúde e da educação, porém outras profissões podem ser acometidas por esta síndrome. Nesta perspectiva, investiga-se a percepção dos profissionais contábeis sobre a influência da sobrecarga de trabalho e do estresse no trabalho no desenvolvimento do Burnout, nas dimensões exaustão emocional, despersonalização e baixa realização pessoal, em tempos de pandemia de Covid-19. Além das relações diretas, analisa-se o efeito mediador do estresse no trabalho na relação entre sobrecarga de trabalho e o Burnout. Uma survey foi realizada com profissionais contábeis cadastrados na rede LinkedIn e se obteve uma amostra de 105 respostas válidas. Para testar as hipóteses utilizou-se a modelagem de equações estruturais. Os resultados indicaram relação entre sobrecarga de trabalho e estresse no trabalho, e entre estresse no trabalho e duas dimensões do Burnout, exaustão emocional e despersonalização. Entretanto, não se encontrou relação significativa entre sobrecarga de trabalho e as três dimensões do Burnout, e nem entre estresse no trabalho e a dimensão baixa realização pessoal do Burnout. Por fim, foi constatada mediação total do estresse no trabalho na relação entre sobrecarga de trabalho com exaustão emocional e despersonalização, mas não para a dimensão baixa realização pessoal.
