The present work proposes an analysis of the musical album “O Menino Que Queria Ser Deus”, released in 2018 by the rapper and composer Djonga from Minas Gerais, Brazil. It will draw on notes from classes and texts studied in the course Communication & Art, taught by Marcelo Ernandez. The main objective is to understand the production, aesthetics, and social and cultural references that influenced the creation and dissemination of the work. Besides, it aims to examine how an album, based on personal experiences, addresses issues that affect the lives of marginalized populations.
