Abstract

This article is an account of an artistic and personal process that traverses issues of belonging and bodily practices based on the senses and perceptions. It explores the entanglement of writing styles such as fable, fiction, testemony and theory.

Author Biography

Fernanda Soeiro Castelo Branco, Oslo National Academy of the Arts

Fernanda Branco is a Brazilian performer, gardener and poet based in Norway, working in the performance field, crossing boundaries between theatre, dance, film, and installation while combining theory, facts, fiction, and poetry. Branco holds a Master of Fine Arts in Performance from Norwegian Theatre Academy - Høgskolen i Østfold and is currently a Ph.D. artistic research fellow at Oslo National Academy of the Arts. The research project explores concepts of agency in the context of encounters between body and environment, drawing from uncanny, poetic, embodied perspectives and relations with ecological crises.
