Resumo

Esse texto é parte do resultado de um trabalho didático desenvolvido junto com os alunos de graduação do curso de Turismo da Universidade do Estado do Rio de Janeiro, onde se pretendeu analisar quatro espaços culturais da cidade do Rio de Janeiro: Fundição Progresso, Fábrica Bhering, Circo Voador e Muhcab, para estudar a relação entre políticas públicas, participação social, espaços culturais e as centralidades territoriais culturais e turísticas.
