EM DIREÇÃO À ECONOMIA DONUT?

Partindo-se do princípio de que a forma como a atividade econômica é contabilizada não leva em consideração os limites físicos de resiliência da biosfera, é urgente a necessidade de inovações econômicas, políticas e sociais que superem a dependência estrutural em crescimento do PIB. Nesse sentido, esse trabalho buscou abordar como a Economia Donut vem se desenvolvendo mundialmente ao longo da última década, bem como discutir como a disparidade de poderes existente entre os diferentes setores da sociedade limita a inserção de novos modelos econômicos. Apesar de ainda ser um modelo em criação, pode-se dizer que a Economia Donut possui um potencial transformador pelo fato de algumas cidades já terem manifestado interesse em aplicá-la. Entretanto, a inserção de novos modelos econômicos exige uma mudança na visão e na forma de ensino da economia, bem como o rompimento das estruturas do atual sistema em que vivemos, o que seria, de fato, uma grande inovação.
