Abstract

This study´s target is to evaluate the benefits of fast and efficient treatment of victims of cardiorespiratory arrest done by Montes Claros – MG 192 Samu as records show. An observing and transversal study was done by checking charts and records of CRA victims from January to December 2009. Among 167 records/charts analyzed, 129 (77%) resulted in death during pretreatment phase and 38 (23%) were reanimated thus being sent to hospitals we identified a higher incidence at ages between 31 and 60 years and above 80. Found only one case, in the age group 01-10 years. Between 21 to 30 years, no records. Thirty-eight cases were admitted to the PA. Of these, 22 records were not found. We registered 14 deaths and 02 hospitalizations. The average times recorded at four hospitals were as follows: PCR: 6.25 minutes and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation / CPR: 23.27 minutes, with a mean displacement of 8.04 minutes, since the occurrence to the hospital. The objective´s results were to measure the time spent from leaving the base until the place of emergency, as well as from the place of emergency to a hospital facility and also the time spent to execute the proceedings by SAMU rescue team as a viable strategy to validate all data collected as evaluation parameters. Our conclusion shows that the chart´s registers, in most cases, did not provide in depth study possibility to portray specifically the real time of a call, the real time of proceedings, evaluation of situations as well as time taken to arrive at the place of emergency.
