Abstract

Since man has long exercised a pressure on the natural resources of Caatinga to meet their needs and interests. Human activities have affected predation in an immediate way through this biome production systems used: family farming, livestock and plant extraction. In this sense, it became essential to find means to an end: sustainable development. The challenge is finding ways to not only use of natural resources of Caatinga to ensure their conservation, but also that these forms may be able to offer a stable of goods and services at competitive costs, to a growing market demanding and dynamic. Accordingly, the related work aims to lead a discussion about how the dialectical Brazilian Environmental Legislation has fostered the foundations for sustainability in the Caatinga and as his "legal framework" may promote a viable socio-economic development and environmentally friendly.
