Abstract

The “creative city”, Rio´s identity, has, in its slums, a true patrimony of creative industries, which mediation is in the culture. Therefore, the governmental public power and the civil society live in Rio, today, a singular situation: through the initiative of the UPP (Unity of Pacifier Police), in one hand, consolidating public politics where citizens feel safe and, at the same time, strengthening the city´s vocation, on its whole, in the sense of the creative industry development.
