Abstract

this work intends to raise the issue on how to research in psychoanalysis, making a comparison between theoretical research and field research, and from this, locate the insertion of the psychoanalytic discourse, psychoanalyst and researcher in these two modes of investigation. From the elucidation of two examples - one for field research and one for the theoretical - will explore the significant intervention in an attempt to ask if the theoretical research also did not understand a intervention form. Backed by the psychoanalytic approach and considering the design of this current on the act, as something that involves a transformation, one before and one after, we seek to consider the theoretical research in psychoanalysis, this logic, since it produces effects in the subject and in the object searched.
