Abstract

The present article searches to clarify the circumstances of Lygia Fagundes Telles’ entrance into the Brazilian Academy of Letters. It will not, however, ignore the issue – less debated and which not only supported but also reflected in the evaluation which was made by the author – about the (relatively) rising feminine participation in similar associations, traditionally androcentric, that is, the relationship she established during her career with the feminism.
