This review discusses the short story collection "Disritmia" (Malê, 2022), written by Ronald Lincoln. The 15 stories create a portrait of everyday life in the favelas of Rio de Janeiro, in a literary movement that directly inherits from Paulo Lins and his "City of God", published in the late 1990s, and which finds important vertices in contemporary authors such as Geovani Martins and Jessé Andarilho.
