This article deals with an oral narrative popularly known in the Amazon region under the title The pig woman Present, mainly, in the Northeast and North Regions of Brazil. The objective is to identify the relationship of the pig woman character with the monstrous and infernal aspects that inferiorize and disfigure her condition as a woman. The "fadic becoming" may be one of the characteristics that mark characters such as the pig woman who transforms and returns in her original form, and can also be interpreted as a strategy engendered by the process of colonization in gender relations, with the aim of maintaining a submissive notion of the woman expressed in oral narratives through an old, disheveled, witch-like appearance, relating them to inferior beings.
