Abstract

This study explores the interaction between language and meaning construction from an ecocognitive perspective, highlighting how language transcends its communicative and symbolic functions to influence human perception and behavior. Through a literature review and three case studies, we demonstrate how meanings evoked by linguistic cues adapt and change across various contexts. The findings suggest that the process of meaning construction is intrinsically dynamic and deeply rooted in the interactions between individuals and their environment, challenging traditional semantic models and pointing towards a more integrated understanding of human cognition.

É membro da Comissão de Linguística Cognitiva da ABRALIN, e líder do Grupo de Pesquisa ECOCOGNIÇÃO E LINGUAGEM , cadastrado no CNPq.
