Abstract

Based on the theoretical-methodological contribution of Interactional Sociolinguistics - SI (Ribeiro; Garcez, 2013) and (Gumperz, 2020), this writing aims to investigate the organization of the interviewer-victim and interviewer-abuser interaction regarding complaints and accusations of sexual abuse committed by João de Deus (John of God). Mobilizing fundamental concepts of IS, such as frame and footing, the interactional investigation consists of two excerpts transcribed from two different reports, brought together in the same video from the YouTube channel entitled “Videos of the 2010 Decade”. Based on the analysis of the interactions in which medium and victim participate in their respective interviews, due to the co-construction of the interactional event, João de Deus' self-defense, in the pre-conviction period, was already being put to the test.

Jean Ignacio Lima, Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ)

Doutorando em Língua Portuguesa pelo Programa de Pós-graduação em Letras Vernáculas da Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro (PPGLEV - UFRJ). Mestre em Linguística pelo Programa de Pós-graduação em Linguística da Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro (PPGLIN - UFRJ). Graduado em Letras pela Universidade do Grande Rio, com especialização em Língua Portuguesa pela Universidade do Estado do Rio de Janeiro (UERJ). Tem experiência e interesse na área de Letras, com ênfase em Língua Portuguesa e Linguística, atuando principalmente nos seguintes temas: teoria semiolinguística do discurso, argumentação, enunciação, semântica e pragmática. Foi bolsista CNPq no mestrado e bolsista CAPES no doutorado. Atualmente, é pesquisador do Programa de Pós-graduação em Letras Vernáculas (PPGLEV - UFRJ), associado à linha de pesquisa: texto e discurso, pragmática e semântica do Português. É membro do Círculo Interdisciplinar de Análise do Discurso (CIAD-Rio - UFRJ) e é professor de Língua Portuguesa na SME de Rio Claro - RJ.
