About the Journal
Focus and Scope
Palimpsesto is a free quarterly student magazine, which publishes texts from graduate students, masters, doctors and researchers in co-authorship with any of the previously mentioned profiles. The magazine is interested in featuring texts that are inserted in any perspective, empirical or theoretical, in the great areas of Language, Linguistics and Literature, and also their possible intersections, such as History, Philosophy, Psychology, Archaeology, Pedagogy and others. We published articles originally written in Portuguese, English, Spanish and French.
Peer Review Process
The review process is done through the double-blind peer review by two members of the Editorial Board and/or external reviewers ad hoc, so as to maintain and guarantee impartiality, always so important when it comes to academic merit. In the case of discrepancy, the text is sent to a third examiner, who is responsible for the final decision.
Publication Frequency
From 2018 onwards, Palimpsesto is a quarterly journal, with an expected publication for May, September and December.
Open Access Policy
Palimpsesto offers immediate free access to its content, following the principle that making scientific knowledge available to the public at no cost leads to a wider democratization of knowledge.
Palimpsesto does not charge for the submission or processing and publishing of the articles. (APCs).
Internalization politicies
From 2018 onwards, Palimpsesto entered a new editorial stage, with an import focus to internationalization policies. We specially highlight three modifications we established:
a) Accepting texts in four languages: Portuguese, English, Spanish and French;
b) The indexation in international station in all languages described above;
c) A higher degree of interlocution through the interview, always aiming to feature Brazilian and foreign authors to answer to related questions to the specific submission call for the dossier.
