La condición de Brasil como emisor neto de IED ha comenzado a generar un debate al interior de Brasil de la pertinencia de adherir a mecanismos de protección de inversiones, más precisamente, la necesidad de firmar, y ratificar los Tratados Bilaterales de Inversiones. Esta situación genera incomodidad a la política exterior traducida en dilemas y disyuntivas particulares, una de las cuales será analiza en el presente trabajo.Abstract:
Brazil's status as a exporter of FDI has begun to generate a debate within Brazil's about the relevance to adhere to investment protection mechanisms, more precisely, the need to sign and ratify the Bilateral Investment Treaties. This situation is uncomfortable and creates dilemmas for foreign policy, one of which will be discussed in this paper.
