Abstract

Here we present some considerations about the sports-media agenda developed in the Rio/2007 Pan American Games, emphasizing theoretical and conceptual aspects of the agenda-setting theory as well as highlighting some strategies used by the media, regarding the event, for example, the use of elements of national identity and the figure of sporting idols.
