Abstract

This article examines the relationship between the architecture of street movie theaters that used to be found at Tijuca, neighborhood in the North of Rio de Janeiro, and the experiences of movie viewing by people who were frequent attendants of these movie theaters. The objective is to analyze how these buildings entered in the production of subjectivity and how they entered in the route of of pedestrians and spectators, in a gear that connected urban space, bodies, affects and sensations.
