Abstract

The paper discusses the subjective and epistemological implications of writing, based on three fundamental scholars, Jack Goody, Eric Havelock and Marshall McLuhan. This discussion is followed by a critical analysis of the way the three authors consider the relationship between media and culture, most of all by use of a kind of technological determinism.
