1. As a suggestion, the Journal of City Law will accept for consideration original articles and essays on City Law, property, possession, urban and regional planning, housing and local policies, segregation, socio-spatial mobility, economic and cultural urban impacts, urban violence, City Statute, access to justice, urban policy, environmental law, environmental conflicts, environmental risks, municipal master plans, social regulation, and others disciplines that having the City Law by subject matter related to pandemic of Covid-19.
  2. The theme of the article/essay should be analyzed based on theoretical frameworks of City Law or related sciences (urban geography, urban sociology, urban economics, urban history etc.) and must be demonstrated in the pre-textual elements (title, abstract, keyword) and texts (introduction, theoretical framework, development, final considerations).
  3. The proposal must be authored by researchers with a doctorate title (graduate studant only co-authored with a doctor), considering the various theoretical and methodological approaches to the field. All authors must have ORCID ID:
  4. Articles/essays in Portuguese, Spanish, Italian, French and English will be accepted for analysis.
  5. Articles/essays by authors from outside the State of Rio de Janeiro/Brazil and articles/essays wrote in English (even if written by Brazilians) have priority in the evaluation and publication.
  6. Originals submitted to the Journal of City Law must follow all the submission’s rules, in particular, the preparation of abstract, under penalty of summary exclusion of avaliation process:

The complete article/essay must be sent online ( until September, 30, 2020, and by e-mail with the title: ARTICLE SUBMISSION - THEMATIC DOSSIER “City Law: conflicts and solutions during the Covid-19 pandemic” or ESSAY SUBMISSION - THEMATIC DOSSIER “City Law: conflicts and solutions during the Covid-19 pandemic. In the e-mail, you must identify the ID of submission, title of the submission and information abaut the authors: full name, the highest academic title, department/city/country of the linked institution, dwelling city/country, link for lattes (mandatory only for brazilians) and link for ORCID.
  8. Each author just can be part of only one submission.
  9. The submission must be sent by only one of the authors and can’t be avaliated by another journal.
  10. The submissions will be avaliatade by blind peer review.
  11. The approved submission forecast for publication is December, 2020.
  12. In case of a lack of qualified submissions, the approved submission will be published later.   
  13. In case of an excess of qualified submissions, the publication of the dossier may be divided into parts, as necessary and according to the editorial decision.
  14. The publication will have Digital Object Identifier (DOI).
  15. There are no fees for submission or publication.
  16. Omitted cases will be decided by the editorial team and published on the Journal’s website.
