Abstract

The objective of the work is to analyze the circumstances of the land regularization process in Amapá, in the Brazilian Amazon, which still in current times, has not materialized and is involved in several social and legal imbroglios. To carry out the research, we critically analyzed the historical paths comparing the federal jurisdiction and what is applied in the State, the agents and conflicts generated.  We conclude that Amapá, throughout its generational process was prevented from fully managing the lands of its territory with the implementation of several fractures intended for conservation and in recent times, has sought, in a contradictory way, the regularization and allocation to private land use (urban and rural) generating several types of conflicts.
