Objective identify the spatial distribution pattern of the main types of agricultural State of Mato Grosso, to characterization and grouping of Mato Grosso municipalities according to their degree of similarity regarding the forms of land use. The study covered the 141 municipalities in the State of Mato Grosso, whose data for the preparation of the study were obtained from the agricultural census of 2006, these were organized in two arrays. Applied the method of cluster analysis performed through the extension "Action Stat", free software "Excel". For the standard identification of the forms of agricultural use results were represented by adopting the thematic cartography techniques. Of the 12 regions of planning, planning the Southeast region (V) is the one that offers greater diversification. It is known that the dynamism of production is of paramount importance to the regional economy, not just concentrating on their income in a single production. Planning regions I and XI predominate vegetation, whose land use activities, both agricultural livestock are incipient. In Mato Grosso, the land use type focused on exploitation of pastureland, aiming at the development of cattle. The agricultural production of the State presents itself centered on 11 municipalities.Downloads
