The richness of the Caatinga is widely varied, many species of these environments are endemic, and little is known about its composition, which increases the need for research in this biome. In this sense, the objective was to evaluate the floristic composition and the phytosociological structural of the Caatinga, in a fragment of vegetation, in the Estação Ecológica Curral do Meio, Semiarid of Alagoas. For execution out floristic and phytosociological studies, an area of 1 ha was delimited, subdivided into 100 plots of 10 m x 10 m. In each individual sampled was recorded the species and circumference of base height (CBH) ≥ 9 cm and height ≥ 1.0 m. The phytosociological parameters and the similarity of the communities were calculated by the Jaccard grouping. The grouping of the species in the sample area is homogeneous and with varied arrangements and distances close, indicating the similarity of the species. The families with the highest number of species are Mimosaceae and Fabaceae, with Fabaceae having the highest number of individuals. The species with the highest importance value are Aspidosperma pyrifolium, Bauhinia cheilantha e Anadenanthera colubrina. In the studied Caatinga area the largest number of species occurs at the lowest heights and diameters, demonstrating that the environment is in the process of regeneration.Downloads
