When analyzing the Brazilian reverse supply chain after consumption, this stands out in the international scene by maintaining the recycling rate always among the highest in comparison with countries where this activity is not mandatory. To reach this feat, Brazil structured through networks of marketing of recyclable materials where waste pickers, scrap dealers and recycling industry are the main agents of the chain. Thinking about this and the specifics of Amazon this present article deals with the city of Manacapuru-AM, part of the metropolitan region of Manaus, to understand how the state and the city are inserted in this national chain, taking into consideration the unique aspects of the region. The research also makes a correlation with the National Policy of Solid Waste as this provides for the implementation of a reverse logistics in Brazil and the mandatory integration of waste pickers in solid waste management. The methodological procedures were constituted in literature surveys and going to the city studied in order to collect information about the operation of the reverse supply chain of post-consumer with each members. It can be concluded that, even if the cities are far removed from the big urban centers they are still inserted in the great national productive chains and that reverse productive chain of post-consumption, although it meets with the national legislation, is structured according to the local reality.Downloads
