Based on the formulations of mimesis proposed by Lawtoo and Fausto, and on the aesthetics of a shared common as articulated by Rancière, this text analyzes three groups of contemporary versions that index the 16th-century Tupinambá mantles from Brazil, relating the works of Lygia Pape, Daiara Tukano, and Glicéria Tupinambá.
