Abstract

The objective of this research was to propose the development of a web-based tool for data visualization, created from the dataset Trajetorias – focusing on the environmental dimension, to disseminate data from the Brazilian Legal Amazon. This research methodology can be divided into four steps: literature review, artifact project, data collection, and data analysis. As a result, a support tool for visualization maps of the Amazon region was proposed, which allows establishing relationships between deforestation rates, burned areas, pasture areas, diseases, and other indicators, enabling the measurement of the environmental and epidemiological impacts of climate change in the Amazon region, assisting policies makers, researchers and stakeholders to comprehend the current situation of the Amazon and provide a basis for policies to mitigate climate change in Brazil.
