Introduction

Arcos Design journal invites researchers, academics, and professionals to submit original articles for a thematic issue focused on the Design, Management, and Innovation (DGI) research line.

This call seeks to explore design as a strategic factor for transformation within organizational, social, and technological contexts. The DGI line investigates the intersections between design practice and management processes, aiming for sustainable innovation and the improvement of quality of life. We are interested in papers that discuss how design can articulate social, cultural, and economic values through systemic approaches and collaborative methodologies.

Thematics

Submissions should align with one or more of the following thematics:

  1. Design Management and Strategy: The role of design in corporate governance and data-driven strategy formulation.
  2. AI and Knowledge Management: Impacts of Artificial Intelligence on knowledge capture, systematization, and sharing; algorithmic design and ethics in information flow.
  3. Systems, Services, and Experiences: Design approaches for managing digital services and experiences mediated by intelligent systems.
  4. Culture and Organizational Processes: Transformations in the culture of "making" and "managing" in the face of digital transformation and collective intelligence.
  5. Design and Entrepreneurship: New business models based on intangible assets, the knowledge economy, and disruptive technologies.
