Abstract

This article aims to reflect critically about the social impacts of covid-19 pandemic, and the strategies to deal it on the everyday life of Lesbian, Gays, Bisexuals, Transgender, Intersex, and other identities. In the first section, the historical aspects of the social and health necessities experienced by LGBTI people are pointed out. In addition, the comprehension of LGBTIphobia as a social determinant of health is highlighted, and the relevance, in the Brazilian context, of the health policy specific to LGBTI people. In the second section, the reflection addressed how vulnerabilities are deepened in a pandemic context, and how the power structures and social inequalities are intertwined. Finally, some recommendations are addressed due the generalized character of covid-19.
