Abstract

This paper aims to contribute to the field of discussions of the relationship between traditional popular cultures and their interfaces with the manifestations of urban, metropolitan manifestations of art, in other words, into a popular culture which ismediated, globalized, internationalized. From the standpoint of a broad system of communicative relationships including rite, language, myth, work, reciprocity and hierarchy, the text invests in clarifying these relationships and some terms used in theseareas, in the light of new theories and methodologies, and showing some examples of these practices.
