Abstract

The carioca Carandiru is a piece of occupied land belonging to the RFFSA and which nowadays hosts samba school workshops. Motivated by the temporary aspect of the occupation of those sheds, both in linear historical time and in the frantic pace which takes place during the pre-Carnival process, I have developed a photographic project focusing on the remains which could tell stories of this place.
