Abstract

This work presents a general view of the production process in the workshop (barracão) of a samba school in Rio de Janeiro, highlighting its different phases, the specificities of each atelier and the relationship established by the professionals with the realms of art and work, having as starting point a field research which took place between June 2009 and February 2010.
