Abstract

This article aims at analyzing the importance of communication, more precisely the good face to face communication that occurs in interactions between the different characters that compose the carnival associations of the Special Group of Rio de Janeiro. The research has identified as a key point for the organization of the carnival the discourse of different agents, something not always understood as intended. Communication noises are caused by the exchange between actors coming from different backgrounds and having well diversified socio-economic and cultural foundations. The challenge faced by the parade`s organizational project is constant, and a few characters in particular are responsible for a constant negotiation with peers and for a permanent adjustment in the active discourse.
