Abstract

From the analysis of the history of the creation of the Cultural Department of the samba school Imperatriz Leopoldinense, as well as of the peak of its performance in the activities of the association between the 1960 and 1970, rises the ways in which a group of samba players, in line with the ideals of political resistance promoted by the Brazilian communist movement, organized and presented proposals for activities to discuss the military dictatorship in the community environment of the samba school
