Abstract
The study of Environmental Perception (EP) encompasses a diverse range of methodologies across different fields of scientific knowledge. The objective of this research is to evaluate the applicability of Methodological Triangulation (MT) in the study of EP. With theoretical foundations of structuralism and phenomenology, Free Observation Techniques were used Free Observation (TOL), Guided Observation (TOG), and Team Observation (TOE) techniques were used, involving a group of 22 fourth-year students in the undergraduate Geography program at UniRovuma-ISDRB. The study was conducted in September 2025 and found that MT is effective in understanding human-environment relationships and vice-versa. It was concluded that the studied area serves as a dwelling, a source of survival resources, and a means of urban solid waste disposal.
Keywords: methodological triangulation; environmental perception; observation.
