This research aims to categorize Ecosystem Services (ESs) in the Corno alle Scale Regional Park, in Lizzano de Belvedere, Italy, associating them with the benefits generated to society. The following procedures were conducted: bibliographic and documentary survey; field research; interview; identification and categorization of SEs; and analysis of information. The Protected Area has a natural, historical and cultural heritage that provides several benefits to residents and visitors. In the Park, 29 SEs were identified, namely: 11 Provision Services (habitat, water for various uses, food etc.); 11 Regulation and Maintenance Services (maintenance of biological diversity, biological control, climate regulation, water regulation, purification and maintenance of water supply etc.); and seven Cultural Services (cultural diversity, scenic, aesthetic, spiritual and inspirational values, tourism, recreation and leisure, scientific research and educational values etc.). Among the impacts that threaten natural resources and SEs, we can mention the production of artificial snow and the installation of cable cars that cause impacts on soil, water resources and biodiversity. Therefore, it is essential to implement strategies that consider the effects of climate change in the Bolognese Apennines and the importance and appreciation of SEs in the Protected Area.
