Abstract

This study presents an analysis of the potential and challenges faced by the Três Unidos indigenous community, in the Amazon region. Using geotechnologies and participatory and collaborative mapping, the objective is to highlight the socioeconomic, cultural and environmental reality of the community. The research was developed with the active participation of the community, teachers and students at Sesc Escola Cuiabá, in line with the theme of the 2023 edition of the Brazilian Cartography Olympiad. The focus is on the Três Unidos Indigenous Community of the Kambebas people, aiming to highlight their biodiversity, cultural practices and challenges faced. Participation in the Brazilian Cartography Olympiad was fundamental in guiding the use of mapping techniques, expanding the scope and relevance of the research.
