In the era of the fourth industrial revolution, it is inconceivable not to feel the transformative impacts of new technologies, especially with regard to artificial intelligence. In this sense, the objective of this work is to deal with three fundamental topics that are interconnected, namely: law, language and artificial intelligence. Thus, the text begins by dealing with the age of uncertainties. Next, it addresses some aspects of law and language with a focus on legal philosophy and hermeneutics studies. From now on, two cases decided by the Brazilian Supreme Court are espoused, which exemplify the problems presented. Finally, the issue of artificial intelligence is worked on as a tool capable of assisting the law in the solution of issues, thus bringing together the past, the present and the future in an encounter of horizons.
